UTFPR-BOP: Birds of Prey

1. Dataset

This dataset aims at collecting images of Brazilian birds of prey, classified by 6 families and 41 species.  There is a total of 42475 raw images and the dataset have unballanced classes, ranging from 214 to 1274 images per class. The table below shows details of the raw data collected:

The raw dataset has many images that are not adequate for recognizing species, and a filtered version of the dataset is under work. This new version will try to create a more balanced distribution of samples per classes and eliminate images where the bird is difficult to identify due to illumination, pose or cluttering.
